I'm a complete arse! Merrily typing away and by accident hit publish when I was simply trying to add a label to the post. Posting half done isn't too bad when its your own blog but not when you accidently post to all and sundry via the Novel Racers blog. Wouldn't have mattered if what I was saying was terribly profound but it wasn't... Have probably confused everyone. What a dipstick!
Anyhoo, onto the post that I was halfway through drafting... I was saying how scary it that time slips by and you barely notice it. One day you're a student on your year abroad in Madrid and wondering how to celebrate the Millenium and the next it's nearly 2009, you're an auntie to nieces and nephews you hadn't counted on having yet and are about to climb onto that property ladder. Goodness me!!
The temperature has dropped and the past few mornings are crisp. Autumn is here but my novel is still not complete! Back in January it seemed very reasonable to be able to tell the Novel Racers that I would complete my rewrite this year. Jeez, I expected to have it done and dusted by Easter and presumed that I'd be submitting it to agents by now. Schoolgirl error.
I'm determined to push on with my revising and rewriting but is it possible to have it complete (or as complete as it's going to be) by the end of November? I think it could be but then I optimistically that back in January.
Well, here's hoping. Watch this space!

Time passes way too quickly! Make it stop!
I had blithely announced I'd have my novel ready to send out by 1st September (after failing the first deadline of Easter). Ha! Didn't happen. I'm scared to set another deadline for fear of ridicule:-)
Good luck with yours - and the move.
I know how you feel, I can't believe it's almost (no, it actually is) september. Best of luck with your move.
There's an award for you over at mine, I loved your post on Novel Racers, I did the same thing recently, but deleted it before anyone noticed (I hope).
We were optimistic Lane!
Debs - relieved to know I'm not the only.Haha!
